Ray Ban Original Wayfarer via SmartBuyGlasses (you can get the exact same ones here!)

Remember I told you about a package I received in this weeks Sunday Select? Well, I thought I'd unbox it with you through these photo's :)

I already own a pair of Ray Ban's (model 4141 polarized seen here & here) but when I got the chance to get  my hands on another pair of these babies I did not say no that that! This time I decided to go for the original Wayfarer but in the oversized 54 version for a little twist and in the polarized version which makes driving in sunny weather a breeze!

The order proces was great, they've kept me updated the whole way and even emailed after I've gotten the package asking me if I received it well and if I had any questions don't hesitate to ask their customer service. A BIG PLUS if you ask me!

Have you already started looking for some new sunnies?

  • Bought the March edition of ELLE magazine but haven't had the time to read in it, every time I start reading a page just before I go to sleep my eyes get heavy and are closed before I can read one article ;)
  • Fiiiiiinally our bathroom is beginning to look like a bathroom!
  • We also started painting the bedroom and 'walk-in room' :)
  • As a surprise I made my mom lunch this last Thursday, toasted ciabatta with sundried tomatoes, mozzerella and red onions.
  • A very lovely package came in the mail this week, will tell you more about it real soon!

How was your week guys? Did you do anything fun or exciting? Thanks sooooo much by the way for your comments on my video a few days back, BIG KISS for that :) Now I'm gonna close my laptop and watch a movie with the boy, it's time for a little relaxation in between all the home improvement madnessss.

Talk to you soon!

jacket - Acne bomber dark // striped tee - COS // jeans - Acne kex // shoes - Converse
hat - Truck Brand // leather necklace - H&M Trend

As promised these are the pics of what I was wearing here under my grey winter coat. I'm still very much in love with this Acne jacket, as I might have mentioned to you a couple of times earlier.. ;) Also this leather H&M necklace turns out to be money well spend! Looking at it online I first thought €19,95 was a bit pricy for a H&M necklace, but decided to click it home anyway and was nicely surprised by the structure and color of it. Plus it makes a lot of casual/dull outfits a whole lot more interesting! You can still get it here if you're interested.

To change things up a bit, I decided to make some savory cupcakes for a change. I mean, I luuvv a good sweet cupcake.. chocolate, strawberry, apple & cinnamon, and all frostings that come with them as well. But the idea of having cupcakes for dinner or lunch really appealed to me so I gave them a go :)

What you'll need :

For the cupcakes

  • 200 grams of flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder (7 grams)
  • 2 eggs
  • 225 grams spinach puree (cooked and pureed or frozen a la crème)
  • 50 grams honey
  • 80 ml olive oil extra vergine
  • 0.5 tablespoon salt

For the 'frosting' cream

  • 200 g butter (room temperature)
  • 200 g soft young goat cheese
  • Salt
  • freshly ground pepper
  • 50 g honey

You'll also need this for decorating

  • 50 grams pine nuts
  • 4 sprigs of fresh thyme
  • some honey
  • a little bit of goat cheese

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 C (356 F) and mix together flour, baking powder, eggs, spinach, honey, olive oil and a little bit of salt with an electric mixer. Put 12 paper cups in to your cupcake tray and divide equally.
  2. Bake them in the over for about 25 minutes and let them cool.
  3. Now on to the fun part, making the butter/cheese cream! Beat the butter in a bowl and add the goatcheese bit by bit. Then stir in the honey, some salt & pepper to your taste and that's it.
  4. Use a pastry bag like I did or just use a knife to apply the cream to your cupcakes.
  5. Toast your pinenuts in a hot dry pan until starting to brown a bit (focus at this part, they'll go black before you know it!) and decorate your spinach cupcakes with a little bit of goatcheese, the toasted pinenuts, some fresh thyme and a drizzle of honey. ENJOY!!

coat - French Connection (last seen here) // jeans - Acne kex // shoes - Converse // bag - Asos // hat - Truck Brand

Yaaayyyy, I finally fixed the Blogger issues I was having (turns out it had something to do with the settings on my laptop, which magically had changed overnight and decided to get all difficult on my ass..) BUT it's all good now, so back to blogging! :)

I wore this outfit the other day when we had a lot of  "Hi, we wanna buy stuff for our new home from your store/company - appointments" and also saw more insides of DIY stores that day then in the last 5 years combined. So comfort was needed!

Will show you what I was wearing underneath in Saturday's post so stay tuned :)

    Hi guys,

I planned to do some blogging tonight but for some reason Blogger is having some problems and I can't upload any pictures or type a post for that matter.. (I'm writing to you from my phone where it works slightly better, meaning the type function works ;) I'll try again first thing tomorrow and will keep you updated!

For now I'm wishing you sweet dreams and talk to you soon!

    • The good thing about moving, is that you come across a lot of things you kinda forgat you had. Just like this simple but beautiful silver bracelet my boyfriend bought me when we first started living together and engraved it to always remember the date 07-07-07. Thinking about adding a new date when we move in to our new home, yes I'm really cheesy about things like that :)
    • We also came across things we bought over a year ago for the new house. I love the kind of 'old english / romantic vibe' of this lampshade and can't wait to give it it's own place in a few weeks.
    • My hands are extremely dry with this weather going on and I'm addicted to this Vichy nutri extra creme!
    • This friday I had a day off from sanding/painting and decided to make some spinach cupcakes with goatcheese and honey, mmm :) (blogpost coming soon!)
    • As you might now, we're currently staying at my parents' place and also in my old room. Since I've moved out 5 years ago my parents changed it in to a guest room with new colors and everything, except for this 'empty photo frame' I put up there ages ago during my almost non-stop Friends watching. Remember Monica had something similar on her door as well? hihi..

    Have a great evening guys!

    2. Asos patent leather tassel loafers €29,35 (sale!)
    3. Asos LEO slippers with pom pom €48,91

    5. Asos LEON butterfly slippers €27,95
    6. Christian Louboutin velvet loafers €695,-

If my budget would let me, I'd be buying both the Louboutin tartan and velvet loafers at once! Good God they're pretty <3.. But looking at the price difference I must say that nr. 2 & 5 are very appealing to me as well!! What do you think about these babies?

PS. I wish I could update more frequently, but with everything going on right now it's just too hectic and busy. Hope you'll understand and stick with me for the time, I'll be back to normal posting in about 4 weeks :) XXX

    • Applying primer to all the walls. Who knew you couldn't just start painting it in the gorgeous color you have in mind?? I actually already did know this from when we moved into our old home 5 years ago, but kinda forgat about it.. So I did A LOT of sanding and applying primer these past 3 days!
    • How cute are these strawberry tea bags! Every one has a little quote inside that says something like "take a break" "fun!" "good morning".
    • This is what our living room looked like yesterday. A cement mixer indoors for making a wall in the bathroom, 16 bags of 25kg cement were used and now it's waiting for a week till it's dry and we can start the tile covering.
    • Everyone's drinking lots of fluids with all this dust hanging around!!
    • Bunny posing on my parents' couch <3
    • It was a hell of a job, but the wallpaper in the attic is done and I couldn't be happier about it :)

    How was your weekend?
