• One of my girlfriends came over this week to have a cup of tea and catch up when she was wearing these boots and I absolutely loved them! Sweet as she is, she went and got them for me as well (thanks a lot sweetie!! :) Can you believe they were only €15 ?! They're my new go-to pair of shoes and sooooo comfortable.
  • Going back to Ikea for the third time a veeery short period of time and also bought clothe hangers for the third time.. turns out we had more pants/tops/sweaters/etc. then we thought..
  • What our bathroom looked like again this week.. it's never a nice thing when you have to break things up again, but ít's almost fixed as we're speaking now thanks to my super handy dad & boyfriend!
  • Film night indoors with my boyfriend, had to have a big bowl of popcorn for sure :)
  • These floral H&M pants are hanging in my closet for a couple of weeks now (for as long as we had the new closet that is ;) but haven't been able to wear it since. Must change this real soon!
  • Our bathroom was still a bit empty and lacked some personal touch but today we came across some very cool letters made from recycled wood. I know it says 'bad' in English, but it's the dutch word for 'Bath' as it is our bathroom hihi..
  • And last but not least today was Queensday here in holland and it's kind of a tradition to eat an orange millefeuille, so we did :)

PS. let me know what you did this last week?

LET'S SAY the sun was actually shining, LET'S SAY it was actually spring.. AND LET'S SAY we weren't busy in our house again today (problems with our bathroom, the two rain showers aren't working properly so the tiles are coming off again and let's hope we find the problem..) THEN I would have loved to wear this all together and sip on a nice iced tea sitting on a terrace :)

Enjoy your Saturday loves!

When I think of granola bars it automatically takes me back to secondary school, my mom layed out a delicious (and let's not forget nutritional :) cranberry/yoghurt or honey/oat granola bar next to my sandwiches and piece of fruit to take with me to school. Never did I think to make some my self, up till recently one of my colleagues gave me this shockingly easy recipe and yet I'M SOLD!

What you'll need for my version of these very tasty granola treats :

  • 400 grams selfraising flower
  • 400 grams of butter
  • 400 grams brown sugar
  • 400 grams muesli/oats
  • add whatever chocolate and/or nuts you love ( I used pistacchio's, pecans and white+dark chocolate)
The steps of this recipe are so easy, it's almost a 1, 2, 3, ready kind of deal ;)

  1. Toast the nuts in the oven for a few minutes (don't let them brown) and melt the butter in a pan. Leaving the oven at a 160 C (320 F) temperature.
  2. Mix together the brown sugar and selfraising flower and add the melted butter. Stir together with the muesli/oats/nuts/chocolate. I'm not gonna lie to you, this can be quite a workout so get ready.
  3. Now line your baking tray with parchment paper, put the mixture in and press untill nicely divided. Bake for 1 hour and THAT'S IT! (told ya it was easy ;) Dust with icing sugar once they're cooled if you like.

I made a few 'fancy ones' for when we had friends over, but the best thing is chopping them up in to small pieces and nibble them in front of the tv watching your favourite movie!

leather sandals - Zara

Along with the black skirt you could already see in yesterday's Sunday Select, came these high heeled leather two-tone sandals. Can't wait till the weather get's better (cause it has been quite sh*%t over here, it being spring and all that.. ) so I can take these babies outside and just stroll :)

Sometimes when you order something online and the only thing you know about it is the picture you've seen on the screen, you kinda expect it to be the most perfect, gorgeous and close to divine thing you've ever seen! (okay slightly exaggerating, but you know what I mean..) simply said, setting yourself up for disappointment. But not this time, THIS IS LOVE.

PS. Don't you just think the best thing about new shoes is the unwrapping? Getting them out of the box, taking out the paper and that moment when you put them on for the very first time.. it has christmas and birthday magic written all over it <3

  • Some last minute baking. Chocolate chip cupcakes with pecans and frosting, and the cutest little sugar decorations.
  • New perforated skirt from Zara. Saw it online 2 nights in a row and couldn't resist clicking it home ;)
  • Refreshing drink after a hard day of work, green iced tea with fresh lemon and mint.
  • Coffee table books. Always adored this idea and LOVE that we finally have a coffee table big enough to fit : and books, and drinks, AND a big bowl of popcorn for a film night at home!
  • Basil and parsley up on our new shelf in the kitchen.
  • Trying to make a picture of Zoef can go in two directions, one : he'll be cute as hell (and I'm convinced he actually does bunny-poses as well!) or the second one, he'll do something funny/crazy and as soon as I've got my camera ready he stops doing it and comes running towards me, as he did this time.. :)

A very much needed casual and relaxed outfit for a day filled with shopping for a garden shed and fence, who ever thought there would be so many options to choose from and such a huuuuge range in price..

Today I'm off helping a friend paint her house and later on do some small diy jobs in our own place as well, time for my just so securely put away painting clothes to come back out again :)

Have a great day sweeties!

This is already up on the list of my favourite recipes. As are all of my go-to things to cook, this is a very simple and easy to make dish but with a great (and delicious) end result!

I'm gonna take you through it step by step and show you how easy it is to make this savory flavourfull pie. Let's start of with a list of things you'll need :

8 puffed pastry squares (out of the freezer)
25 grams of butter
2 white onions
300 grams of feta cheese
1 lemon
450 grams frozen spinach
1 egg (seperate the white from the yolk)

  1. Put your frozen spinach 'cubes' in a pan and slowly heat them 'till fully defrosted and preheat the oven to 200C (392F)
  2. Peel and slice the onions in to fine slices (or just as fine as you feel like doing that day :)
  3. Line your baking tray with parchment paper and lay out 4 of your puff pastry squares. Make sure they overlap a little bit, so you can connect them using a fork and make 1 big one. This makes the bottom of your pie.
  4. Next up, you can crumble half of your feta cheese on to the puff pastry. I suppose you could also chop it in to small dices, but I luvvv getting my hands in while cooking (plus I think crumbled feta just tastes a whole lot better then when dicing it up, have NO idea why though.. )
  5. On a medium heat, bake your onions for about 5-7 minutes, don't let them brown a lot.
  6. Now get a large bowl and put in the zest of your lemon.
  7. Take your defrosted/warm spinach and drain most of the water coming out in a sieve, add to the lemon zest and put in your baked onions. Add your egg white and stir together with a fork.
  8. Put your spinach mixture on top of the feta cheese (that was already on top of the puff pastry, yeahh we're layering) put the other half of your feta on top of that, and cover it up with the other 4 squares of puff pastry (making it in to 1 just like you did the bottom in step 3) and decorate it with a fork/knife however you like.
  9. Now take your egg yolk and brush it over the top of your pie.
  10. YOU ARE DONE! All you have to do now is put it in the middle of your oven and wait for 40 minutes so it turns in to a gorgeous golden brown pie. Serve with a nice cucumber or tomatoe salad and ENJOY!

jeans - H&M divided (old) // sweatshirt - Zara mens (last seen here) // leathe jacket - Vero Moda Jeans
burgundy knitted scarf - HEMA // ballet flats - random

Okay, so I must admit.. going for ballet flats might not have been the most warm choices of all (compensated with my big ass knitted scarf, so we're all good ;) but it felt so good going barefoot in to a pair of shoes again. Don't care what the weather forecast says, I'm ready for spring!

These jeans are actually an old pair of mine, they're wayyyyy too big (not able to wear them without a belt trust me they'll fall down!) can't really remember why I bought them so oversized but damn they're comfortable! Love pairing them with feminine/more fitted items to balance everything out like with this fitted leather jacket and the girly ballet flats :)

Have a great day sweeties!
